Visa & Travel Requirements
Please make sure you have the necessary visa before traveling. The following guide applies to all US and Canadian citizens:
- US and Canadian residents only require proof of USA / CAN citizenship (Passport or NEXUS Card) when crossing the US / Canada border. For US citizens, no visa is required to enter Canada up until 180 days.
Best Time to Visit Vancouver
Wondering when is the best time to book an RV rental in Vancouver? We recommend visiting between June and September when you’ll have the best chance of dry weather and plenty of events to choose from. However, if you prefer snow sports or cooler temperatures, then consider booking in winter, spring or fall. As for what’s on in Vancouver throughout the year, the Vancouver International Jazz Festival (June/July), Celebration of Light (July) fireworks competition and the Vancouver Pride Parade (August) are three must-see summer events.
Water Tank Info
You’ll need to fill up the freshwater tank at the beginning of your trip, and empty your grey water at the end. This can be done at most campsites. You can also google “RV Sani dump” to view the closest station to you.
Nearby Gas Stations
Before you return your roadsurfer camper van, you will need to refill your fuel tank. This can be done at any location. However, we recommend doing do at this
gas station close to our location:

When it comes to parking your RV or camper van rental in Vancouver, finding a space downtown can be challenging. Consider parking at Stanley Park, an accessible location, and explore the city on foot. This option not only eases the parking dilemma but also adds a pleasant walk to your trip. If you’d prefer a parking garage, however, there are a few options – just be sure to check for height restrictions before entering.
