From Málaga Airport (AGP): From the airport, board bus A “Paseo del Parque – Plaza del General Torrijos” to “Avda. de Andalucía”. Transfer to bus 25 toward “Santa Rosalía – Loma del Campo” to “José Calderón”. From here, it’s a 2-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.
From Málaga City Centre: From the city centre, board bus 19 to “José Calderón”. From here, it’s a 2-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.

If you’re flying into Malaga and want to rent a camper van with roadsurfer, you won’t need to fill your suitcase with the camping essentials. Our roadsurfer campers come equipped with all the road trip necessities, such as a camping table and two camping chairs, as well as other essentials such as leveling blocks, and a water canister. Your kitchen is also already stocked with a kitchen box full of utensils, tableware, and cookware. If you want to add bedding to your reservation, you can do so during the booking process, or you can choose to bring your own. You can also add additional equipment like a roof rack for your surfboards or a bike rack.
Malaga and the Costa del Sol are well-known for their beaches and warm temperatures, which is why there is a lot of tourism in the summer months. June to August is the high season in Malaga and will be booming with tourists. If you love the sun and don’t mind crowds, Malaga will be the ideal destination for you, especially in the middle of August, when the Malaga Fair takes place. We recommend renting a camper van in Malaga at Easter. The city will be crowded, but not like in the summer months.

There are two parking zones in Malaga, the blue and the white zones, where you can park your camper van or RV rental. Please note that there are two different types of blue zones. The normal rotation blue zone is for up to 2 and a half hours, and the high rotation blue zone is for a maximum stay of 30 minutes. These zones are indicated by a blue line and have a sign indicating if they are long or short stays. We recommend using the Telpark App to pay and modify your parking time from your location.
If you’re lucky and patient, you can also find free parking in the white zones in Malaga. The best place to park for free in Malaga, and be relatively close to the center, is in the Victoria neighborhood or near the train station, and from there you can travel to the city center via public transportation.
You can decide whether to use a toll-free highway or a (private) toll road when you’re in Spain. The private ones are marked with an “R” or “AP” and a toll sign on traffic signs. Toll roads can be paid at the toll booth by card or cash. Please pay attention and do not drive through the “Telepeaje” booths, as those are only for cars with a transponder installed.
