The best time to rent a campervan in Lisbon is March to May and September to October, when the weather is beautiful and it is generally less crowded. Of course, with 300 days of sunshine each year and the right clothing, you can visit Lisbon throughout the year, especially during the off-season in winter (if you don’t mind the quieter vibe). Plus, campsites, restaurants, and tourist attractions are cheaper during the off-season. Film festivals take place during September and October, and there is always a street event whatever the season. In June, the 13th is the day of St Anthony, Lisbon’s patron saint and a day celebrated throughout the city.

Known as the city of the 7 hills, the streets of Lisbon are relatively steep and narrow (as well as very busy with cars and pedestrians). We highly recommend parking your roadsurfer campervan rental in the secure car park near the port in Rua da Cintura where you can also stay overnight. Parking costs €6 for 24 hours.
