The best time to visit Stuttgart and its surrounding areas is in the summer, between May and September, when the average temperature is 64°-75°F. During this time, you can enjoy Stuttgart’s annual celebrations, which are free to the public, such as the Wine and Beer festivals, the Jazz Open, and the Hamburg Fish Market Week, where you can enjoy Hamburg’s delicacies without making the long trip north. We highly recommend visiting Stuttgart at the end of September when one of the most beautiful and largest folk festivals in Germany, Cannstatter Wase, takes place for 14 days. If you are picking up your camper van rental in Stuttgart, there are many beautiful European travel destinations close by to consider. Drive to Lake Constance, Switzerland, and Italy, and soak up all the summer sun has to offer!
