The best time to rent a camper van in Cologne is from May to September. On the first weekend in May, the big fireworks show “Rhein in Flammen” takes place, and jazz fans can also enjoy the Cologne Jazzfest around the same time. Every year on the first weekend in June, you can visit exhibitions on art, culture, and technology, at the Museumsmeilenfest. It’s also the month of the hot air balloon festival, where you can book a hot air balloon flight and enjoy the Rhine floodplain from above. The highlight of Cologne is the Beethovenfest in September, with 70 concerts by international orchestras. Later in September, you can also visit the Pützchensmarkt, a traditional fair that has existed since 1367. For those that love camping in the winter, you can rent one of our weatherproof camper vans and still go camping!
