Transfer to the RER Léman Express L5 regional train to “La Plaine”, then change to bus 74 to “Dardagny, La Roulave”. From here, it’s a 25 minute walk to the roadsurfer station. Alternatively, you can take a taxi/Uber from the bus stop.

U.S. citizens do not need a visa for short tourist visits to Switzerland. Here’s what you should know if you’re planning to travel:
Americans can visit Switzerland and other Schengen Area countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period for tourism or business without a visa.
You must have a valid U.S. passport; it’s recommended that your passport is valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area.
Border officials may ask for proof of onward travel or a return ticket, evidence of accommodation, and sufficient funds for your stay upon arrival.
Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area, so your time in Switzerland counts toward the 90-day limit for all Schengen countries combined. If you plan to visit other countries in the area, make sure you do not exceed the 90-day total.
Beginning in 2025, U.S. travelers will need to obtain ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) approval online before arrival in Switzerland or other Schengen countries. The process is simple and similar to the U.S. ESTA.
RV Parking in Geneva-Pays de Gex
There are many things to visit in the “world’s smallest metropolis.” If you want to explore the city after picking up your motor home, you’ll find parking areas accessible to all types of vehicles in the Saint-Jean district in Geneva, near the town hall and the church. There is also paid parking in the blue and white zones, on Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

When you set off on your road trip with your camper van rental, you’ll want to fill up the fresh water tank, and on the way back, you’ll need to drain the grey water tank. You can do both here:

Best Time to Visit Geneva-Pays de Gex
The best time to rent a camper van in Geneva is from January to March and May to September. Ski enthusiasts who want to kick off the season could also consider visiting in December. Choose between a lovely winter wonderland or an adventurous summer trip. There is so much to explore from Geneva. Hop over to France and drive through the stunning Arve Valley towards Chamonix before reaching the foot of the highest peak in the Alps. You can also visit the Italian metropolis of Turin and the lovely Piedmont region within three and a half hours.
