If you want to know the best time to hire a campervan in Stockholm then you’ll have to decide what you want from your trip. Are you looking for a winter wonderland, or do you want to experience midsummer revelry? Springtime sees the least rain and beautiful blossom in the city’s parks, while in Autumn, the foliage turn yellow and red, mirroring many of the city’s buildings. As with many destinations, Spring is probably the best time of year to visit Stockholm, when the winter chill dissipates but before the crowds of the summer arrive, but many visitors say that June and August are the months when the city feels most alive (many locals leave for their summer cottages for most of July).
When you hire a roadsurfer campervan in Stockholm, you’ll need to fill up with fresh water for your trip and empty your greywater at the end.
It is possible to fill up with fresh water at more fuel stations with self-wash points in Sweden. However, we do advise that you use a spare water bottle to collect the fresh water this is due to the contamination of the fuel hose. It is therefore safer to use the 12LT bottles when filling up to ensure better healthy and safety.
Unlike some other European countries, there are fewer roadside points with these facilities to drain and empty wastewater so it may be best to drain your grey water at your campsite. The toilet cassette and the cleaning of, should only be done in regulated places where there is waste refuse storage tanks at campsites with these facilities.
There are several petrol stations within a few minutes’ drive from the roadsurfer station to fill up with diesel and AdBlue before returning your campervan rental.
Please note: The AdBlue service station information provided is for guidance only and is provided without warranty of any kind; customers are advised to check the information for accuracy on their own responsibility, as roadsurfer assumes no liability for the accuracy or timeliness of the information.
