Getting to the station
From Stuttgart Airport (STR): From the airport, take the U6 (U-bahn) subway line toward “Gerlingen” to “Löwen-Markt” and continue as described below.
From Stuttgart Central Station (Hauptbahnhof): From the station, take the S4, S5 or S6 (S-Bahn) suburban train to “Zuffenhausen”. Change to bus 99 toward “Korntaler Straße” to “Wollinstraße”. From here, it is a 20-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.
Alternatively, from the station, you can take the S6 (S-Bahn) suburban train to “Korntal”. Change to bus 612 toward “Münchingen Friedhof” to “Korntal Jahnstraße”. From here, it’s a 3-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.

You can begin your road trip as soon as you pick up your camper van in Stuttgart, trusting that your roadsurfer home on wheels is fully stocked. The best time to visit Stuttgart and its surrounding area is in the Summer, between May and September, when the average temperature is 18-24 degrees. During this time, you can enjoy Stuttgart’s annual celebrations offered free to the public, such as the Wine and Beer Festivals, the Jazz Open, and the Hamburg Fish Market Week, where you can enjoy Hamburg’s delicacies without making the long trip north. We highly recommend visiting Stuttgart at the end of September when one of the most beautiful and largest folk festivals in Germany, Cannstatter Wasen, that takes place for 14 days. If you are picking up your campervan rental in Stuttgart, there are many beautiful travel destinations close by to consider. Drive to Lake Constance, Switzerland, and Italy, and soak up all the sun summer has to offer!
You can fill or empty your water supply for a fee at the Cannstatter Wasen campsite (approx. 30 minutes from the station).
You can dispose of your grey water and fill up with fresh water at the motorhome waste disposal station at the Stuttgart trade fair grounds.

The most relaxed way to explore the city with your campervan hire is to park in one of the more than 200 Park + Ride car parks and then travel via the public transport. You can find free parking spaces at the P+R Ruhbank at the TV tower or in Sommerrein.
