Our roadsurfer campervan rental station is conveniently located near the heart of “Florence on the Elbe”. If you are travelling within Germany, you can arrive at Dresden central railway station from Berlin in under three hours and from Leipzig by train in under 2 hours. From the central railway station, take the S2 train, and then its a 20 minutes walk to our station.

Getting to the station
From Dresden Airport (DRS): From the airport, take the S2 (S-Bahn) suburban train toward “Pirna” to “Dresden Industriegelände”. From here, it’s a 25-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.
Alternatively, you can take a Taxi / Uber (11 minutes).
From Dresden Central Station: From the station, take the S2 (S-Bahn) suburban train toward “Dresden Flughafen” (airport) to “S-Bahnhof Industriegelände”. From here, it’s a 20-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.
Parking information
Parking facilities are not available at our station. However, a ‘Park + Ride’ car park “Industriegelände” is located at Elisabeth-Boer-Straße.
Visit the Frauenkirche, the Green Vault in the Dresden Residence Palace, and the Semper Opera House when you start your motorhome holiday from Dresden. If you’re heading towards Poland from the station in your campervan, pay a visit to the fairytale Rakotz Bridge which is under 2 hours drive from Dresden. Or enjoy one of the many thermal baths in Karlovy Vary on your way to the Czech Republic. With our tips on hiring a campervan in Dresden, you won’t miss a thing when planning your holiday.
The best time to rent a campervan in Dresden is between June and September. At this time of year, you can expect pleasant temperatures during the day, averaging 23 degrees. It is worth visiting the Dresden Music Festival at the beginning of June and the Elbhangfest on the last weekend of June, the arts festival with free entry to many cultural events around the town. If you decide to visit Dresden earlier, a highlight in mid-May is the international Dixieland Festival, a jazz festival with open-air concerts that ends with a traditional parade of old cars.

Discover all that the Dresden city centre has to offer in your campervan hire. You can conveniently park your roadsurfer in the public car parks available throughout the city. You will find plenty of parking spaces along Stetzscher Straße, but don’t forget to purchase a parking ticket. Another public car park is located at Melanchtonstraße 3. Plus, there is a multistorey car park at Alaunstraße 32, Bautzner Straße 29, or Metzer Straße 2.
