When you hire a campervan in Paris you can be on the road right away, trusting that your roadsurfer home on wheels is fully stocked. Your campervan comes with an awning, camping table and two chairs to enjoy the space outside of your vehicle. The kitchen box allows you to save money on eating out: you’ve got all the pots, pans, and utensils to cook up your own meals. There’s even a corkscrew and bottle opener, and a coffee pot, plus mugs for your morning coffee or tea, although you’ll want to bring dish towels, sponges, and eco-friendly dish soap. When you rent a small motorhome from Paris you will need to bring your own bedding, or you can hire what you need from the roadsurfer station. Full details of what’s included in your motorhome hire, and our suggestions on what to bring along to your Paris campervan holiday can be found in the equipment list.
You can visit Paris in a motorhome or campervan hire during any season, and don’t worry, all our vehicles are equipped with stationary heating for the colder months. One visit is certainly not enough, as it is almost impossible to see everything in one go. There are major music festivals such as Rock en Seine, Solidays, and Lollapalooza in the four corners of the capital all year round, as well as world-famous sporting events such as the Tour de France and the Paris Half Marathon.
If you want to go to the Atlantic coast, we recommend visiting from May to October for the best weather and temperatures. If you want to travel in June and September, you can avoid the crowds of tourists by travelling in Brittany or Bassin d’Arcachon.
When you set off on your journey and are looking for a water supply to fill up your water tanks, you can go to the addresses below. You will also need to empty the waste water of your roadsurfer vehicle at the end of your road trip. The nearest motorhome service stations to the Paris South branch are listed below:
If you rent a campervan or motorhome in Paris, we suggest these petrol stations for refueling with diesel and AdBlue before returning to the roadsurfer rental station.
Please note: The AdBlue service station information provided is for guidance only and is provided without warranty of any kind; customers are advised to check the information for accuracy on their own responsibility, as roadsurfer assumes no liability for the accuracy or timeliness of the information.
Although it may not always be easy, it is possible to find a place to park in the streets of Paris. Paid parking is available from 9 am to 8 pm, except on Sundays and public holidays. If you don’t have the correct change for the parking meter, you can pay by credit card or via the parking apps almost everywhere. The advantage of paying with your phone is that you don’t need to set the time in advance.
Alternatively, follow the signs to a multi-storey covered car park, many of which are also accessible to cars up to 2 metres high, so choose to hire a VW California, for example, and you will have no problems getting around the city! If you are travelling in a motorhome or campervan, there are several special underground car parks, but we recommend that you leave your car at the campsite or at a station on the outskirts of town and use public transport to visit the city centre. You can also park for free near the Bois de Vincennes and Bois de Boulogne, but please note that these campsites are not supervised.
Explore Paris from your campsite after renting a campervan or motorhome at our roadsurfer rental station. You’ll find private camping spots on roadsurfer spots, both close to the centre of Paris and on quiet rural locations outside the city. Hire your campervan in Paris and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with friendly hosts and low-cost pitches.
