As in all major cities, parking in the centre is not always easy—especially with a large vehicle! There are several paid public car parks in Lille, often with height limits of 2 metres/6 feet. Alternatively, you can park on the street. In the city centre, parking is charged between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm, with rates varying by zone. For campervans and motorhomes, we recommend parking around the Citadelle toward the Champs de Mars. If you prefer not to drive into the city centre, you can choose a free park-and-ride facility outside the downtown area and then take public transport into town.
