Getting to the station
From Harry Reid International Airport: Head to the bus stop “NB Eastern before Russell.” Take bus 110 to “NB Civic Centre after McDaniel.” Then, walk approximately 4 minutes to the stop “NB Las Vegas before Civic Centre.” Catch bus 113 to “NB Las Vegas after Walnut.” From there, it’s just a 3-minute walk to our location. An easier alternative is Uber/Lyft, especially if you’re arriving with a lot of luggage; typically, an Uber/Lyft costs around $30.
Notice regarding the airport: Unfortunately, you cannot drive any of our campers directly to the airport, as they exceed the maximum height limit. Please keep this in mind if you intend to pick up or drop off someone.
Parking information
There’s free street parking available around our location, such as on N Walnut Rd right alongside the station. However, please be aware that parking is at your own risk.
Please note that while roadsurfer RVs come with solar panels, the batteries are not equipped to last for prolonged periods without connecting to shore power. When using the AC, the battery can die in less than a day, causing a shutdown of all electrical componentry in the vehicle. Please take this into consideration when selecting your campsites and their amenities.

When road tripping in Las Vegas, don’t limit yourself to the Strip. Consider renting a camper van to explore Nevada’s many spectacular natural wonders. Visit the towering sandstone peaks of Red Rock Canyon in the Mojave Desert (just minutes from downtown) or journey to the marvel of modern engineering that is the Hoover Dam. A slightly longer drive leads to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, while the ominous-sounding but visually stunning Death Valley is also worth a look – especially so if you’re there during a wildflower super bloom!

If you’re booking an RV rental in Las Vegas, consider aligning your trip with some of the city’s major events.
Experience the high-octane thrill of NASCAR Weekend (March) or dance up a storm at the Las Vegas Electric Daisy Carnival (May). If you plan on coming later in the year, you can saddle up and watch the National Finals Rodeo (December), which attracts the world’s top cowboys and cowgirls.
Just keep in mind that summers can be extremely hot (often reaching 110°F or higher). The shoulder seasons of spring and fall, on the other hand, offer more moderate temperatures for outdoor activities.
You can usually empty your grey water and refill at any campsite. There’s a KOA not far from our location where you can pay for dumping and filling::
Pease ensure the fuel tank is topped up shortly before returning your RV rental. Depending on the camper model, petrol or diesel and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) are required. Please check in advance which fuel your camper requires. Failure to return the tanks full may result in a service fee. DEF is available at most Walmart and Target locations. This is the closest gas station near our location:
Renting a motorhome in Las Vegas is all fun and games… until you need to park in the city. Fortunately, you can find relatively cheap open-air parking with no height restrictions at various casinos.
The Plaza Hotel and Casino, for example, has an oversized parking area for both hotel and non-hotel guests. There’s also super convenient RV parking at Circus Circus, which is the only RV park on the Strip. As for parking outside of the city, all National and State Parks offer RV parking for multiple days. Just remember that in peak season, parking at various natural landmarks can fill up quickly, so make sure to arrive early.
Camping in and around Las Vegas is a remarkable experience. Just beyond the city’s vibrant lights, you’ll find a host of RV-friendly campgrounds surrounded by natural beauty.
The Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers diverse landscapes and lakeside camping spots. Valley of Fire State Park, renowned for its red sandstone formations, accommodates RVs at Atlatl Rock and Arch Rock campgrounds.
Our pick of the bunch for anyone renting a camper van in Las Vegas to explore the Grand Canyon is Mather campground. Not only does it offer lots of privacy (despite being quite popular), but it’s also close to hiking trails, such as the scenic Rim Trail, as well as shuttle bus services to various lookout spots that offer sweeping views over this majestic natural wonder.
