Rotterdam is the perfect place to rent a camper van or RV if you’re planning on exploring the Netherlands. The city of Rotterdam is bold and lively with modern architecture, street art, and a vibrant nightlife. You can visit the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen for an incredible journey through the history of art, take a water taxi to see the city from an entirely different perspective, and stroll along the Witte de Withstraat for a plethora of café-bars to get a drink.

Getting to the station
From Rotterdam Airport (RTM): From the airport, take Bus 33 towards Rotterdam Centraal and get off at the “Rotterdam, Blijdorp Metro” stop. Walk to “Blijdorp Metro” Station and board Metro E towards “Slinge”, then transfer at “Zuidplein” to Metro D heading towards “De Akkers”. After a 20-minute ride, exit at “Poortugaal” station and from there it is only a 5 minute walk to our location.
Alternatively, you can also opt for a 20-minute taxi ride.
From Rotterdam Centraal Station: From the station, take Metro D in the direction of “De Akkers”. Get off at “Poortugaal” station and walk approximately 5 minutes to reach our location.

You’ll want to fill up the fresh water tank of your camper van or RV rental at the beginning of your trip, and empty your grey water at the end. The best place to do this is at your campground if they offer these services, or at certain gas stations. Near our station you can also find this address to fill up the freshwater tank:
If you want good weather, the best time to rent a camper van in Rotterdam is from May to September. Rotterdam doesn’t get as busy as other cities in the summer, so you can enjoy the sights and sunshine without worrying about the crowds. If you don’t mind the cold, you can check out the International Film Festival that takes place from the end of January until the beginning of February.
