Getting to the station

From the airport Fiumicino: We are not far from the Fiumicino Airport. From there take the regional train towards Roma Termini or Orte and get off at the sto Fiera di Roma. Don’t take the express train as it will take you directly to the central station skipping our stop. From there, walk for 7 minutes.

From the main station Roma Termini: Take the regional train towards Civitavecchia and get off at the stop Roma Ostiense. Take the regional train towards Fiumicino Aeroporto and get off at the station Fiera di Roma. From here, it’s a 7 minutes walk.

Parking information

Parking: There’s plenty of free parking spaces in the street Via Ugo Tiberio, or you can use the parkings of the Fiera di Roma.

Visa & Travel Requirements

U.S. citizens do not need a visa for short tourist visits to Italy. Here’s what you should know before your trip:

  • Americans can visit Italy and other Schengen Area countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa.
  • You must have a valid U.S. passport; it’s recommended that your passport is valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area.
  • Border officials may ask for proof of onward travel or a return ticket, confirmation of accommodation, and evidence of sufficient funds for your stay.
  • Italy is part of the Schengen Area, allowing easy travel between member countries during your stay.
  • Starting in 2025, Americans will need ETIAS approval to enter Italy and other Schengen countries. Be sure to apply online before your trip once ETIAS is in effect.

RV Parking in Rome

The city center of Rome is mainly composed of ZTL zones where access is limited and you can be fined. To visit the city center, we recommend the LGP Via Casilina campground where you can also stay overnight for €25.

Make sure to return your campervan rental with a full tank of diesel and refill the AdBlue. The nearest Gas station to our location is:

Best Time to Visit Rome

The best time to rent a RV or camper van in Rome is Spring and Autumn. In April and May, you’ll find fresh mornings and blooming flowers. In September and October, the city comes back to life after the summer heat, whilst remaining warm in the evenings. The city is hot and busy in Summer. Winter sees colder weather and more rain, although you’ll find cheaper prices from November to March as well as fewer crowds.
