Getting to the station
From Lindau HBF (Lindau Insel): Take the RB92 or RE96 train in the direction of Memmingen and get off at Wangen. From there, it’s about a 13-minute walk to your destination.
From the Airport: The nearest international airport is Bodensee Airport Friedrichshafen. From the terminal, walk to the Meckenbeuren Lochbrücke station and take bus 7547 toward Wangen (Busbahnhof). Get off at Wangen Bahnhofstraße/Tiefgarage. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk.

Lindau’s unique location on Lake Constance makes it truly special. However, this special setting also comes with a small challenge: access to the island is only allowed for passenger cars, and parking is very limited.
But no worries – the city has made great arrangements: the P&R Hartplatz Zech offers 32 dedicated RV spaces and is located just about 4.5 km from the center. Day passes start at €20. From there, the Lindau city bus runs every 30 minutes and takes you comfortably straight to the island.
This way, you can rent your RV in Lindau-Wangen and still enjoy the full island experience – completely stress-free and without any parking hassle.
