Getting to the station

From Mannheim Airport (MHG): From the airport, walk to “Neuostheim, Endstelle” and take train RNV5 toward “Schriesheim Bahnhof” to “Heidelberg, Bismarckplatz”. Transfer to RNV 26 train toward “Kirchheim, Friedhof” and get off at “Heidelberg, Rudolf-Diesel-Str”. From here, it’s a two-minute walk to our roadsurfer station.

Alternatively, you can take a Taxi / Uber (20 minutes).

From Heidelberg Central Station: From the station, take bus 717 toward “Schwetzingen” to “Montpellierbrücke Steig D”. From here, it’s a 3-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.

Best time of year to visit Heidelberg

The best time to rent a class B RV or camper van in Heidelberg is from May to September when the temperatures are a pleasant 65 to 75°F. There are a lot of festivals and cultural events happening in Heidelberg during these months. Visit the Heidelberg Stückemarkt between April and May, a theatre festival which premieres lots of exciting plays. Germany’s first international queer festival takes place also takes place in May. The Heidelberg Castle Festival takes place from June to August and has lots of open-air theatre performances and concerts in Germany’s best-known castle ruins.
