If you plan to explore the city before embarking on your road trip from Bologna, navigating parking in the city can be a challenge. Similar to many medieval Italian cities, the entire historic centre is a ZTL, restricting transit without a special permit. • Parcheggio Tanari at 17 Luigi Tanari Street: A few minutes from the city centre, this parking is free when used with a bus ticket. Display your bus ticket to the staff to avoid parking fees (max. 24 hours).
• Parcheggio Staveco at Viale Enrico Panzacchi 10: Paid parking but very convenient for a quick walk to the city centre. Note that parking is not guaranteed on busy days and weekends.
• Parcheggio Antistadio at Via Andrea Costa: This parking is free with a public transportation pass but is farther from the centre (3 km on foot or 15 minutes with bus lines 14 or 21).
