From Hanover Airport (HAJ): From the airport, take the bus to “Hanover Central Station”. Change to the S3 (S-Bahn) subway line toward “Hildesheim” to “Ahlten”. Change to bus 371 to “Im Kleifeld” (Ahlten). From here, it’s a 15-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.

The best time to travel to Hanover with a campervan rental is the warm months between May and September. We highly recommend these months for car lovers as this city hosts many special automotive events. Keep an eye out for the VW Bus Festival, the Beetle Sunshine Tour, the Bulli Festival and the Street Mag Show, Germany’s largest American Car & Harley Show. In May, you can also visit the Arts Festivals and be entertained by music, performances, theatre, dance and installations at various venues around the city. The warm weather lures visitors outdoors, and many more come to view monthly firework competitions taking place at the Herrenhausen Gardens.

There are public parking spaces within 500 metres of our station in Mergelfeld. You will also find plenty of free parking spaces at Klagesmarkt, where you can park your car before collecting your campervan from us. Alternatively, there are multi-storey car parks in the city centre on Andreaestraße, Osterstraße, Karolinenstraße and Mehlstraße.
