The roadsurfer campervan rental station in Frankfurt is located just outside the city centre. If you’re flying into Frankfurt airport, you will arrive at our station via public transportation in under one hour. From the central train station, take the number 11 train for 30 minutes to Hugo-Junkers street. From there, it’s a short walk to pick up your motorhome hire.

Getting to the station
From Frankfurt International Airport (FRA): From the airport, take the S9 (S-Bahn) suburban train toward “Hanau” to “Offenbach Zentrum”. From here, walk approximately 350 metres to “Offenbach Rathaus” and change to bus 41 toward “Leonhardsgasse” to “Robert Bosch Straße”. From here, it’s a 4-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.
From Frankfurt City Centre: From the station (“Frankfurt (Main) Römer/Paulskirche”), take tram 11 toward “Schießhüttenstraße” to “Hugo Junkers Straße”. Change to bus 41 toward “Offenbach Zentrum” to “Robert Bosch Straße”. From here, it’s a 4-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.

Free parking is available in the commercial area around the roadsurfer station. Please note that parking inside the roadsurfer station is not possible.

You can begin your road trip as soon as you pick up your keys in Frankfurt, trusting that your roadsurfer home on wheels is fully stocked. Your campervan comes with an awning, camping table and two chairs to enjoy the space outside of your vehicle. The kitchen box allows you to save money on eating out: you’ve got all the pots, pans, and utensils to cook up your own meals. There’s even a corkscrew and bottle opener, and a coffee pot, plus mugs for your morning coffee or tea, although you’ll want to bring dish towels, sponges, and eco-friendly dish soap. When you rent a small motorhome from Frankfurt you will need to bring your own bedding, or you can hire what you need from the roadsurfer station. The best time to visit Frankfurt is from May to September. The warmer months of June, July, and August are ideal for a city trip, especially for exploring the surrounding area with your campervan hire. Whit Sunday (Pentecost) is a popular time as their traditional folk festival takes place in the Frankfurt city forest on the Tuesday after Whit Sunday. Other highlights include the Mainfest volksfest takes place in early August and is a great time to explore Frankfurt’s gardens along the banks of the Main river. And for art, culture, and music fans, visit the city in August for the annual Museum Festival.
On your return journey to our campervan rental station in Frankfurt, you can empty the grey water tank at the following supply and disposal stations before returning the van to us. You can also fill up the freshwater tank here before you start your road trip:

Rent a campervan in Frankfurt and explore the city centre before you set off on your road trip. There is no parking directly at our station, but you can park free of charge in the commercial area around the station. There is also a multi-storey car park nearby (Am Hafendeck, 63067 Offenbach am Main), which is 25 minute walk from the roadsurfer rental station. Or you can take bus number 41 towards Offenbach (Main-)Zentrum Hauptbahnhof (central station) from Adam-Opel-Straße, and get off at the Nordendtheater in Offenbach. From here, it is only an 8-minute walk to the roadsurfer station.
