It’s the perfect time to indulge in activities such as swimming in the numerous Bavarian lakes or embarking on a boat excursion along the Danube. Moreover, every two years in June, Regensburg hosts the Bürgerfest, a must-see event where the entire city buzzes with concerts, food stalls, and happenings in the city center and along the Danube’s banks. Excursions, hikes, and other outdoor activities around the city are perfect at this time thanks to the mild temperatures. In fall, it can get very foggy in the countryside around Regensburg because of its proximity to the Danube, so you should drive carefully and always switch on your fog lights.
