U.S. citizens do not need a visa for short tourist visits to Germany. Here’s what you should know if you’re planning to travel:
Discover all that Aachen’s city center has to offer with your RV or camper van rental. You’ll find convenient public parking options throughout the city, including larger parking lots near the main train station and along Krefelder Straße—just make sure to purchase a parking ticket where required. For central access, consider parking at APAG Parkhaus Hauptbahnhof (Lagerhausstraße 20), which has some spaces suitable for RVs and camper vans, but always double-check height restrictions before entering. Multi-story car parks in the city center, such as at Borngasse 45 or Theaterstraße 47, usually have lower clearances and may not fit larger vehicles. For easy sightseeing, we recommend parking outside the busiest areas and using Aachen’s excellent buses or trams to get around.
Before returning your camper van to us, please make sure to refill both the fuel and AdBlue tanks. You can easily do this, for example, at the following location: Esso Station Wangen, Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 15, 88239 Wangen im Allgäu.
Note: The AdBlue station information provided is for general guidance only and is not guaranteed. Customers are responsible for independently verifying its accuracy, as roadsurfer does not accept liability for the correctness or timeliness of the information.
A recommended place to empty grey and black water before returning the vehicle is the Wohnmobil-Stellplatz Bad Aachen, located at Branderhofer Weg 11, 52066 Aachen.
