What are the highlights of the Road House?
The Road House packs a surprising amount into its sleek, compact design. The pop-up roof creates extra sleeping space, turning the RV into a home for four. The open living and dining area makes mealtime and game nights feel just like home. The integrated kitchen has everything you need—pots, pans, fridge, and stove—so you can cook like you would in your own kitchen.
Even better? The indoor wet bath includes a warm shower, sink, and toilet—and the shower can even convert into an outdoor one.
Need storage? You’ve got it. With a large rear storage space (garage) and clever overhead compartments, there’s room for everything you need for your RV adventure.
Full standing height means no ducking or rearranging, and the built-in diesel heater keeps things cozy even when the weather dips. So no matter the season, your trip stays comfortable.
Are there differences between Road House models?
We offer the Road House in five configurations: Knaus Boxlife 540, Hymer Ayers Rock, Weinsberg CaraTour 540, Bürstner Eliseo, and Bürstner Campeo. All offer the same core layout and premium features, but there are small differences worth noting:
- Rooftop tent views: Knaus, Hymer, and Weinsberg include rooftop tents with panoramic openings on three sides. Bürstner models also include a rooftop tent but without the panoramic function.
- Bed system: The Knaus Boxlife 540 features a lift bed for easier trunk access. The Hymer model has a foldable slatted frame in the center for more storage. Weinsberg and Bürstner models also use foldable slatted bed frames.
- Heating type: Knaus and Hymer models use a diesel-powered heater—perfect for winter trips. Weinsberg and Bürstner models have gas-powered heaters that warm up quickly and run more quietly.
No matter which version you get, every Road House offers high quality and thoughtful design throughout.
What’s the max payload capacity of the Road House?
The Road House has a maximum payload of 1,058 lbs. This already accounts for:
- a full fuel tank
- basic camping gear
- a 165 lb driver
That leaves plenty of weight for passengers, luggage, and water tanks. Pro tip: Drive with only partial water tanks to stay under the total weight limit and improve fuel efficiency.
