roadsurfer is the leading campervan hire and camping expert in Europe with over 70 stations across Europe and North America. Road trips and outdoor adventures are our passion – we not only offer the latest campervans and motorhome models, we also provide tips and tricks for an amazing holiday.

The idea for roadsurfer came about when five childhood friends went on holiday together and tried to hire campervans for a road trip along the Atlantic coast. While one couple already owned a campervan, the rest of the group found it difficult to find a suitable rental location. When they returned home, they couldn’t shake the thought, “This has to be easier,” and roadsurfer was born.

roadsurfer was founded in Germany in 2016 as an campervan and motorhome hire platform. Since then, we have grown to a fleet of over 5,000 vehicles at our various locations. In addition to rentals, we now also offer campervan subscriptions and sales (currently limited to Germany), as well as unique camping experiences at our roadsurfer spots campsites, currently available at select locations in Europe.
