Booking & Cancellations
Your booking confirmation email includes all the important details for your trip.
- Booking number, payment method, and price breakdown
- Host’s name, address, and contact details
- Spot location with Google Map link, description, and house rules

You can view your booking details in your confirmation email and in your roadsurfer spots account.

You cannot directly modify a confirmed booking, but you may be able to cancel and rebook with your updated details.
- To shorten, extend, or change spots, cancel the existing booking and create a new one
- Cancel your trip up to 8 days and more before arrival to receive a refund (excluding the service fee)
- If you rebook and notify the support team, the service fee from the first booking will be refunded

You can cancel your booking through the app or the website.

You can cancel on short notice, but refunds depend on whether you are inside or outside the cancellation window.
- Within the cancellation period (8 days and more): cancel in your spots account
- Outside the cancellation period (7 days and less): contact roadsurfer spots; refunds are not available

If a host cancels, you’ll receive a full refund before check-out, but rules differ if the booking has already passed.
- Hosts can cancel more than 72 hours before check-in themselves
- Last-minute host cancellations are handled by roadsurfer spots support
- You’ll get a 100% refund, including service fees, if the host cancels before check-out

Payments & Fees

The service fee helps cover the costs of operating and improving the roadsurfer spots platform.
- Guests pay 20% of the booking subtotal plus a 2.5 euro net fee per booking
- Details of your service fee are included in your booking confirmation

Refunds are issued automatically for eligible cancellations and details are sent in your confirmation email.
- Processing can take up to 14 days depending on your bank

Campsite amenities are listed by the host in the spot profile, and you can ask your host directly for details after booking.

Check-in and check-out times are set by the host and listed on the spot profile.
- Find them between the house rules and the cancellation policy
- It’s recommended to coordinate your arrival with your host; don’t arrive after 8 PM without prior agreement

You’ll receive your host’s contact details in the confirmation email, and you can also reach them through the roadsurfer spots chat.
- After booking, you’ll get an email with your host’s phone number and/or email address
