What is the refund process?

Sometimes travel plans can hit a roadblock. If your booking has been canceled, it’s important to understand the refund process and the cancelation policies.

How do I check my eligibility for a refund?

To verify your eligibility for a refund due to cancelation, please review the guest cancelation policy. If the host wishes to initiate the cancelation, please review what happens if the host cancels my booking?

When will I receive the refund?

For bookings canceled within the cancelation period, you will automatically receive a refund to your original payment method. After the cancelation, we will send you a confirmation email with the refund details. Depending on your bank, it may take up to 14 days for the refund to be processed.

If the booking is canceled outside of the cancelation period, you will receive a cancelation confirmation email, but no automatic refund will be issued. Since the booking payout has already been sent to the host, you will need to contact the host directly to discuss a refund. If the host agrees to a refund outside of the policies, please provide your IBAN so that the host can send you the agreed-upon amount.
