Before driving, you should always check that there are no loose items and that everything is safely stored. Sharp knives, cutlery, and dishes should be stored in the drawers and cupboards of the campervan to avoid any accidents in case of a sudden stop or hard breaking. We know the rattling of the dishes can be a bit annoying during the drive, so make sure to keep them in the drawers for more stability. If you prepare your camper before you hit the road, you won’t have to worry about anything breaking and can maintain peace of mind.
Your first road trip stop? The supermarket!
Your first stop during your road trip is the most important one! Head to a local supermarket to fill up your camper fridge and cupboard! Our tip: Plan your meals a bit in advance to avoid camping in the middle of nowhere with no ingredients. This way, you can enjoy multiple days without going into the next town or heading into the shops.
If you’re traveling abroad, why not visit the supermarket before you return your campervan? Take home some French cheese or Spanish wine as a souvenir, and you can enjoy your holiday even once it’s over.
