Awesome on the outside, but even more so on the inside! The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is not only an architectural masterpiece but also houses the largest aquarium in Europe, a digital 3D cinema with a 900-metre screen and an interactive museum. “No touching forbidden” – here you can press buttons and explore the laws of nature on your own. That’s why you’ll need at least a whole day to quench your thirst for knowledge here. And otherwise: forget the city map and enter the cobblestone labyrinth of the 1000 year old quarter of El Carmen, walk along the promenade between the city beaches of Malvarrosa and Arenas or discover in the Albufera Natural Park where the grains of rice in your paella come from.

From endless white sandy beaches, to an abundance of historical monuments, typical Spanish delicacies and architectural masterpieces, you will find absolutely everything your heart desires in the port city on the Costa del Azahar. Rent your camper in Valencia and let the authenticity of Spain seduce you. Use the city as a starting point for a road trip along the exciting coastlines of the Mediterranean, through green national parks and past endless orange and almond groves. Over 200 campsites await you in the region!
Make sure you take enough time to enjoy Valencia itself, as it offers an incredible variety of sights! So before you set off in your camper, make sure you take a tour of the city. The best way to enter the old town is through the old city wall towers Torres de Serranos, which were also used as a prison for nobles for a long time. Stroll through the narrow streets of the Barrio del Carmen with all its small cafés and restaurants to the Valencia Cathedral or the Marques de Dos Aguas Palace – both popular photo motives! Tip: Every Thursday the “Water Dish” is held at Plaza de la Virgin – a public dish that almost looks like a theatre play. If you are travelling with your family, don’t miss a visit to the interactive Valencia Biopark or the impressive L’Oceanografic aquarium. Afterwards, you can feast your eyes on the Mercat Central with its colourful tiles, before losing yourself in futuristic buildings in the Ciutat de las Arts – Valencia’s modern landmark. Of course, every visit to Valencia includes at least one walk along the beautiful beach promenade from the marina to the dream beaches El Cabanyal or Playa de la Malvarrosa. Try a Paella Valenciana from a large paella pan – it tastes best with a view of the sea.
