Best time of year to visit Antwerp

The best time to visit Antwerp is in June when there is minimal rainfall, and it’s not too hot yet to explore the city. May and August are also great times to rent a camper van, although you might want to pack your raincoat for the occasional rain shower. For those who love music, the four-day Jazz Middelheim festival takes place every August, or check out Laundry Day, a dance festival on the first Saturday of September. Beer connoisseurs won’t want to miss out on the Beer Passion Weekend, which takes place in June and has over 150 beers on offer.

You can also park on the streets with a blue sign with a white P, or for free along the waterfront. In pink zones, you can park for free for 2 hours, but you still need to pick up a parking pass at the ticket machine or via the app. You can also park for free in the blue zones for 2 hours with a parking disc. Please note that the entire Antwerp city center is classified as LEZ: Low Emission Zone, and all foreign drivers must register on the official city website to avoid a ticket.
